I am hoping that the judge, when she releases her reserved decision, blasts the pressures that police and Crowns feel in starting and continuing such a case.
The unfairness of our system to men, is on full display.
Their names and faces are splashed across the news feed daily, while the purported victim gets to hide behind her initials and a black out of her face.
She does not have to pay for the time of the Crown prosecutor- the defendants have to pay huge legal fees for this long trial and no doubt have paid for all of this through lost team sponsorships.
Trudeau was a suck up to the radical feminist lobby and brought in laws that created this mess, to appease them. The “tell” was always how he described our Canadian Armed Forces, which are at least 90 percent male. He always said “the women and men of our Armed Forces.” He did not say the “men and women” of the Canadian armed forces.
Let us see if Mark Carney has the political will and backbone to make this area of law the same as other areas of criminal law.
