I like to inform my  employee clients that whatever bad thing the employer does in the short term, that can drive the employee crazy, will likely benefit the employee in the long run from a damages point of view.

 

The courts have been using various terms to cover increased damages awards, such as aggravated damages, moral damages, punitive damages or human rights damages.

 

The area has become so complex that there is an entire text book dedicated to the issue of distinguishing between these various add on type damages.

 

Suffice it to say, what goes around comes around. Keep your chin up and let them dig themselves into a hole.
